The students were excited, fully charged and were keen to be enrolled in the Air Wing of the NCC when commencement of NCC was formally announced at Bright Way College. The Junior division of NCC began in the month of July 2012. The team of selectors headed by the ANO Mr. Brijesh Dwivedi along with Principal and staff were present for the formal induction ceremony.
After the enrollment, the parade session started from July in which the NCC cadets of the junior wing were present and trained in the various activities of NCC like the basic training, social service activities, adventure training, military training in drill, map reading, weapon training, battle and field craft training were imported by the Physical Permanent Instructor (PI) staffs of the regular army in the presence of the ANO Mr. Brijesh Dwivedi. But all this could not have been achieved without co-operation and guidance from our Director, Dr. Meera Srivastava.
During the year training the cadets have been inculcated with the qualities of character building, discipline, secular outlook, sportsmanship, national integration and selfless service. The cadets contribution during parade sessions were also fulfilling under the supervision of the PI staffs sent by Commanding Officer during the camps. The cadets have achieved special prizes in the Inter Unit Competition held during the camp. The cadets got prizes for the English. Debate, solo singing, cross country and group marching competitions too. This was not first and last but this was a true beginning.
In 2015 Deep Sudha Patel of class-IX was selected the Best Girls Cadets Junior Division (Army Wing) from Uttar Pradesh in R. D. Parade, New Delhi.
In 2016, Aman Srivastava of class-IX was selected for R.D. Parade, New Delhi. Along with this, he was declared the Best Cadet (U.P. Cadre) of Army, Air-Force and Navy Wings and Honourable Governor, Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Naik awarded him the best cadet (Junior Wing) of Uttar Pradesh with a Gold Medal, a cheque of Rupee 3000/- and a certificate.
In 2016 Anshumali Singh of class-IX had been the Best Cadet of Army (Junior Wing) in R. D. Parade, New Delhi.
The cadets have made significant progress in every sphere of activity throughout the year. I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our Director and also convey my gratitude to all the parents of our cadets for reposing their faith in us by allowing their wards to participate in all the activities of the NCC and have worked relentlessly in marking this NCC a great success. I am thankful to our Director, Dr. Meera Srivastava for her guidance and support and also to the parents for reposing their faith in us and allowing their children to join NCC and serve the motherland.
Finally, kudos to all NCC cadets for their outstanding performance in the R.D. Parade and the competitions held at camps. May God bless them with good health, joy and prosperity!
